Pringle endorses Thoiba Ahmed, independent candidate, Letterkenny Electoral Area
- Updated: 30th May 2024
Independent TD for Donegal, Thomas Pringle, has endorsed independent candidate Thoiba Ahmed in her Letterkenny Electoral Area campaign, calling Thoiba, “an important voice for Donegal County Council.”
Deputy Pringle said: “Thoiba has been actively involved in the community since she came here with her family in 2015 and she has always kept the needs of the community at the heart of her work. She is a dedicated candidate who understands the needs of our community.
“Donegal is growing and developing for the better, and Thoiba can bring her experience and her understanding to council to show that. That’s what Donegal County Council should be and that’s what Donegal County Council needs to be as well.
“Thoiba will be a strong representative at council level for everyone who feels their voice is not being heard. I was proud to endorse Thoiba in her 2019 council run and I am proud to stand with her again this year.
“Thoiba has described herself as a peace-builder between communities, and I have seen first-hand how she brings people together to make sure that no one is left behind.
“She is deeply committed to our community and looks forward to the opportunity to work on behalf of everyone. She will bring a great deal of hands-on experience to the role of councillor and will put that experience to good use to serve all the people of Letterkenny and Donegal,” he said.
