Independent TD for Donegal, Thomas Pringle, has welcomed the news that the new GP for Dunkineely has been formally appointed with effect from today.
Deputy Pringle had raised the issue of lack of GP cover in Dunkineely with the Taoiseach in November.
The deputy said: “I’m happy to confirm that Dr Janinda Muhandiramge has been formally appointed to the post and I want to welcome him. It’s good news for this important service.”
In a statement, the HSE said that Dr Muhandiramge was formally appointed to the post with effect from Monday, January 30th, and will commence in the role as GP for Dunkineely on a full-time basis.
