Pringle calls on Taoiseach to commit to wind energy guidelines, publication of Mulcahy report

Independent TD for Donegal, Thomas Pringle, has called on the Taoiseach to commit to the finalisation and implementation of the wind energy guideline review, and the publication of the Mulcahy report.
Today in the Dáil, Deputy Pringle raised the issue of the major landslide of unstable peat at Meenbog in Donegal.
Deputy Pringle said: “It is just another example in a litany of poor planning decisions that have impacted on Donegal over the years. This has eroded people’s faith in the planning system in the county.
“With this in mind, there are two simple actions that your government has control over: The finalisation of the Wind Energy Guideline review that has been ongoing since 2013, and the publication of the Mulcahy Report into certain planning matters in Donegal that has been ongoing since 2015.”
Deputy Pringle said: “During your term as Taoiseach, will your government commit to the finalisation and implementation of the Wind Energy Guideline review and the publication of the Mulcahy Report into certain planning matters in Donegal?
“Your two predecessors and eight ministers have failed to do so,” he said.
In response, the Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, said he will talk to the minister in relation to the wind energy guidelines and publication of the Mulcahy report and will follow those up.
